What is MyCheekySocial?
MyCheekySocial hosts in-person Speed Friending events — structured, relaxed evenings for those looking to expand their circle and make authentic, real-world connections. It’s all the ease and elegance of “speed dating,” minus the dating. Five to six minutes of conversation with each participant — curated, kind, and just your speed.
How do I reserve my place?
Simply select your city on our homepage for a list of events. Register online and you’re all set — no paper tickets required. You’ll receive a confirmation email, and your name will appear on our guest list.
Do you screen the attendees?
While we don’t pre-screen every participant, we do listen carefully to community feedback. If a guest is reported as unkind, disruptive, or simply not a great fit, we reserve the right to decline future participation. Our goal is to keep MyCheekySocial filled with considerate, friendly people you’ll actually enjoy meeting.
Are you affiliated with any 'Meet-Up' groups?
We think Meet-Up is a lovely platform, but MyCheekySocial operates independently. Our events are hosted exclusively through our official website and Eventbrite listings to ensure authenticity and quality.
What happens if the event is sold out?
You can email info@MyCheekySocial.com to join the wait list. Cancellations sometimes open spaces, so it’s worth checking back on the site for last-minute availability.
What time should I show up for the Event?
Event start times are listed in your confirmation. We like to begin once everyone’s arrived, so you’ll have time to grab a refreshment, settle in, and mingle before introductions begin. It’s all intentionally low-key — no rush or shouting required.

What is a MyCheekySocial ‘Smart-Card’ match?
Your Smart-Card is a digital connection card. During the event, you’ll mark whom you’d like to reconnect with. Afterward, you have until midnight to finalize selections. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive an email with your mutual “Friend Matches” and contact details.
How long will I chat with each potential friend?
Typically 5 – 6 minutes — long enough to feel the spark of good conversation, short enough to keep the evening lively. Larger events may shorten the rounds slightly so everyone gets a turn.
Can I return for free if I don't get a match at an event?
We reward lovely energy, not statistics. Guests who bring warmth, kindness, and great spirit are often invited back with discounts or complimentary entry. It keeps our circle filled with the kind of people everyone wants to meet.
Is food included with my ticket price?
Some venues provide light nibbles or happy-hour specials, but this varies. We recommend arriving early for a meal or staying afterward to share a drink with new friends.
How long does a MyCheekySocial event last?
The length of an event is based on the number of guests in attendance. Generally, our events last about 2 hours including intermission.
Can I come with friends?
Absolutely! Each attendee will need their own ticket, but our hosts will happily seat you near your party if space allows. Just email us in advance so we can arrange it.
How Many People Will I Meet?
Attendance varies by city, but most gatherings host between 16 and 20 participants — enough for variety, yet intimate enough for genuine conversation.

Can I pay without doing it through the Internet? Register/Info

What if someone isn’t lovely?
Oh dear. How unfortunate. We have zero tolerance for unkindness or rudeness. Anyone who makes others uncomfortable may be asked to leave or banned from future events. Our guests are our greatest asset — and we protect that experience.
Do you have any charitable initiatives?
Yes — our “Nights for Suzanne” initiative invites guests to donate to a cancer charity of their choice equal to the ticket price. Let us know once you’ve donated, and we’ll add you to the guest list for your desired event — our treat.
